our vision

our candles are not perfect, rather perfectly imperfect. this is because we put passion and creativity in each one; poured and decorated by hand, not machine. no two candles look exactly the same, and this is a conscious choice to be sure every item feels unique to you!

do you ever wonder why those big box store's candles are so inexpensive? how they're all uniform with little variation?

where they use assembly lines and environmentally harmful machines, and cheap supplies, such as carcinogenic paraffin wax- we use reusable vessels (click here to check out our repour option) with eco friendly and soot free, organic soy wax. we support other small businesses, buying only 100% all natural fragrance oils and locally sourcing embellishments like flowers, sea glass and personally drying our flower petals.

being friendly to the earth may cost a bit more, but we only have one. at august & ember we think it's worth the price for a safer and cleaner environment.

so while we don't have the prices of that store with the red logo, we do have fevor and creativity. we have an ethical obligation to the planet, and most importantly - we have a love of creating candles!
